Make a list of items you actually need, note the usual price where possible and decide your budget. For expensive items, record the exact model or specification you want.
During the sale
Compare the same product across sellers, check seller reputation and warranty, and read the coupon conditions. Bank discounts may require a particular card or minimum spend. Check whether a discount applies to sale items.
Before paying
Review the final order total, delivery charges, return policy, delivery estimate and any EMI costs. Keep the order confirmation and offer terms.
Avoid impulse purchases
A discount saves money only if the purchase is worthwhile and within your budget. Do not buy an unnecessary item simply because the displayed percentage looks large.
